So, I was... let's go with... surprised to learn winters are milder where I live now, to where I lived before.
I mean... come on, it's only 600 kilometers apart.
But yes, it is warmer here... I am not complaining... I'm just used to be more cold.
I now understand why my boyfriend was so shocked to see that much snow last winter when we were at my parents house, cause there isn't so much snow here!
Don't misunderstand me, it's still cold here and I'm still gonna need to do a lot of layering.
That is why, I am always in the search for a good, vintage, button down sweater.
Even though we have a lot of second hand shops here, neither is specialised for vintage clothing. So I have to be resourceful.
I found a white sweater at one of the second hand shops, and I really loved it when I bought it. But when I tried it again back at home, it looked so... plain.
Now what? I should improve it! But how?
I don't have the slightest idea.
It bugged me for days, and then an idea popped in. Beads. Pearls to be presize. I decided to go and buy some big, white and cheap ones.
Then, one day I was at the green market and nearby is this old flea market. I decided to go, just to see what is offering, and there they were... necklaces with small, creamy pearls. They were perfect! Cheap and fake, but way more better than the ones I had in mind.
That's what I'll be doing this week.
Improving a sweater.
